60 Seconds Time Out 122012

Athletes/Coaches Behaving Badly – so the Jets’ head coach Sexy Rexy Ryan decided to bench Sanchez, skip over Tebow, and play the 3rd string QB. A few things here…what took Ryan so long to make this decision? He should get a pink slip as a Christmas gift! The Jets win came when McElroy was in the game. Seems like a no brainer to me. Then poor Tebow is not having a great holiday season – he was overlooked for the starting position even though he is healthy, then his girlfriend dumps him. Maybe he should try to remember during this time that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus, so rejoice in knowing that Jesus is the reason for the season! Even though his professional season isn’t going so well. Then I heard Sanchez may get a pink slip for Christmas, because the Jets are eyeing Michael Vick for next year. Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas; so this MMA fighter was hospitalized for having a broken bone. Not from fighting in the ring with an opponent, but from having relations with his girlfriend. I can’t make this up! Ray Elbe competed in the Ultimate Fighter Season 9 match and didn’t have any broken bones, but had relations with his girlfriend and ended up in the hospital with a broken penis. Ummmm, I told you that women are very powerful! I guess he will be giving her a lump of coal in her stocking for Christmas; Please help me understand how you gets fine while not at work? R2D2 also known as RG3 to some people has been fined $10K by the NFL for wearing Adidas gear during a post-game interview. Apparently players can only wear Nike gear, since it was approved by the NFL. You see the commish doesn’t play so stop pissing him off. The Saints are witness to this foolishness. If you keep wearing unapproved gear you will be suspended for a game next or maybe all of next season. While, I am not a fan that is crazy; I know that every investor associated with Brooklyn Nets are asking Santa for a refund or another team for Christmas. They can’t seem to get it together. Maybe they should play the Lakers every game. Just saying! Merry Christmas everyone!

Athletes/Owners/Coaches/Teams Behaving Badly – so the Cowboys’ owner, Jerry Jones says that even though he is NOT doing a good job, he will not fire himself. Where they do dat at? I guess Dallas. As much as I love Dem Boys, JJ, Garrett, and Romo are destroying America’s Team; anyhoo, Jets’ head coach, Sexy Rexy Ryan was named the most overrated coach in the NFL. Instead of being upset about it, he said that he was okay with it since he was in great company (New England’s cheating head coach Belichick was 2nd), and most professional football players want to play for him. Ummm, this man is very delusional right now. I don’t know of any athlete who wants to play for him and the Jets right now. I don’t even think TO or Ochocinco would take that offer and they NEED money right now; Norv Turner and his Chargers team where fined $20K for the stick ‘em towel incident. Ummmm, Sean Payton got a year’s suspension for his BOUNTY scandal. I guess, the NFL and Commish prefer a different brand of towel; ex-Yankees’ prospect Brien Taylor was sentenced to 38 months in prison for possession and selling drugs to undercover agents. I guess when he lost his job for fighting, he had to do something. Does this sound familiar LSU’s Jordan Jefferson? Athletes and drugs, when will they learn that these two things do not mix? I am just saying; if it’s not bad enough that Southern Mississippi football team hasn’t won a game this year, the freshman QB’s mom was arrested during a game, because a USM fan was complaining about her son’s performance. I understand standing up for your kids, but sometimes you have to pick your battles. This was one not worth fighting. The fan’s words were not hurting her son. She also gets a vote for this week’s contender; North Carolina’s West Mecklenburg High quarterback, Jalan McClendon was ejected from the game for imitating Cam Newton’s Superman touchdown celebration. I wonder would have happened had he done the Packers’ Aaron Rodgers’ discount double check move; loved the fact that most of the Colts’ players shaved their head in honor of their head coach, Chuck Pagano. He is fighting leukemia and is undergoing chemo treatments. There are some good people in this world, but after seeing some of these player’s heads, they should have done something else to honor their coach. Not everyone can rock bald heads. Just saying.

Athletes/Fans/Organizations Behaving Badly – the New York Giants return home after defeating the 49ers and thieves had broken into their vehicles and one car was stolen. While I am upset that people committed a crime, I am more upset that the players left their cars unlocked. Note to the GIANTS…unlocked cars are a thief’s dream. You will definitely be a contender this week; so a judge ordered Commissioner Goodell to turn over all documentation regarding the Bounty Scandal. I can’t wait to see what is revealed. Hmmmm, I wonder if Goodell is going to be exposed; speaking of scandal…Lance Armstrong stepped down as chair of the Livestrong and Nike terminated his contract. Now, Nike may have acted too soon. I still have not seen any evidence other than jealous competitors saying that Armstrong used drugs. Nike may be a contender this week, also; my Yankees are on the brink of elimination. Can they get it together without Jeter? A-Rod is not worried, since he is more concerned with flirting with women during a game than winning. Please tell me why his girlfriend is mad. Newsflash…A-Rod is a flirt; so the Steelers Ta’amu was suspended for 2 games for his DUI, police chase, attempt to run over police offers, crashing cars, and running from the scene of an accident. Let me understand this. He drives drunk and was suspended for 2 games, but the Saints’ Vilma and crew was suspended for the year for a bounty scandal? Hmmmm, interesting.

Athletes/Fans Behaving Badly – I am going to say this one more time…sports can build stronger bonds, not tear them apart. A father and son made a wager on the Giants/Browns game. I am not sure why someone would place a bet on either team, but I will address that at another time. They went outside to settle the bet and somehow ended up in a fight, where the son stabbed the father in the leg. Is it me, or does anyone else think it is strange that they went outside to settle a bet? This is really ridiculous and the violence after a game is unacceptable; I know a lot of people in Cleveland are mad right now, because Phil Jackson and a few others NBA stars agree that LeBron has the potential to be BIGGER than Michael Jordan. I have been telling you all this for a minute. Kobe fans, stop hating! Kobe’s ex-coach said King James is better than the Attention Seeker; next time the Eagles’ Michael Vick decides to tweet pictures, he will probably have his publicist look at them. He tweeted a picture the other day of him and his daughter at the dinner table and a box of Milk Bones was sitting on top of the table. Hmmmm, this must mean Vick has a dog. While the man has served his time and is off probation, people are still mad that he has a dog. Ummm, GET OVER IT! There are worse things in life right now. I hope that he has learned and know how to properly treat and care for a dog; speaking of dogs…Sandusky said that he has kissed dogs and been bitten by dogs. Lord, now people have to worry about their dogs in 30 years or so, since that is when he will possibly be out. I know many people are saying Sandusky will probably die in prison, but it will be our luck that pervert will outlive his sentence. I think he should’ve gotten more time and be placed in regular population; Commissioner Goodell reduced the suspension of 2 Saints players, but he didn’t reduce Vilma and Smith’s suspensions. Ummm, does anyone else have a problem with this madness? A judge already ruled that the suspended players could play, regardless of the suspensions; someone needs to check on Kim K or is she still Kim Humphries? Anyway, check on that Kardashian, because the Dolphins’ Reggie Bush announced that his Kim K look-alike girlfriend is 3 months pregnant with his baby. Have you all also looked at Kanye West and see features similar to Reggie Bush?

Athletes/Referees/Fans/Organizations Behaving Badly – ok, help me understand this…Saints’ Vilma goes to meet with Commish Goodell and he shows him a signed statement from Greg Williams stating that Vilma put a $10000 bounty on Favre. A few things I want to mention. Who believes Williams? And what athletes you know wants to pay someone else? STRANGE. Just saying; so a replacement referee, who is a Saints fan, was relieved of his duty with ESPN contacted the NFL and told them it wasn’t fair that a Saints fan was calling the Saints game. People first of all stop putting all your business on Facebook! Next, I don’t know if I am mad that he blasts his business on Facebook, or that he wasn’t screened properly by the NFL. Football is already suffering from replacement officials, so they don’t need any suspicion of cheating. He and the NFL are contenders this week as well; two time gold medalist, Shaun White was arrested for vandalism and intoxication. He was drunk, trashed a hotel room in Nashville, and started waving a firearm around. These athletes need something to occupy their time in the off season. May I should put together a snowboarding or skateboarding competition, because he needs something to do quickly; so 3 University of Wisconsin students have been arrested for attack running back Montee Ball. I don’t know if I am more concerned that they planned to retaliate against all football players because of a previous fight or because the woman with Ball stopped the beating by throwing herself on him; Eagles’ Vick and Giants’ Manning both had picks in their games on Sunday, but walked away with a win. Maybe Eli should talk to his brother and tell him how he did it, because Peyton couldn’t stop throwing interceptions last night and the Broncos loss to the Falcons, so the Celtics’ head coach, Rivers told his team to HATE the Miami Heat! Now that is a real HATER for you. Keeping my eye on him, because he may take after the Saints and offer a bounty on the Champs.

My heart goes out to Devon Walker from Tulane who fractured his spine during Saturday’s game. I have an even greater appreciation for athletes who continue to play the game even though they know this is a possibility. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of healing; congratulations to Serena for winning the Women’s US Open title. She didn’t do a dance this time, but she was still happy to receive the award and the $1.9 million pay check; speaking of winners…congratulations to the Redskins, Bears, 49ers, Cardinals, Bucs, Patriots, Eagles, Lions, Falcons, Vikings, Jets, Texans and the Broncos! How well did your team do? Are you still a fan? Many Giants fans may switch to the other NY team since they actually won; people had better watch out because the Texans are proving they are the ones to watch this year; RGIII, I see you showing out. Good job playing against a team without their head coach; Saints fans don’t worry, Sean Payton will be back next year and the bounty system can return; Bears and 49ers looked great. Thanks, San Francisco. Some of your players helped my fantasy football team, after Brees and the Saints deducted points; Cam Newton, I hope things get better; we have two more games tonight. Welcome back, NFL. We missed you!

60 Seconds Time Out 032612

Athletes Behaving Badly – Chicago’s Noah was ejected from the game for throwing a ball at the referee. He wasn’t missed, because the Bulls still beat the Raptors; Saints’ suspended coach, Payton may have a new job for a year. No, it’s not as a spokesperson for BOUNTY, but as an analyst for FOX. He is being rewarded for bad behavior. SMH; Kobe is mad because his coach benched him for a few minutes during the Lakers’ loss to the Grizzlies; I am upset that the Heat were defeated by the Thunder. They have to get it together, before the playoffs start; I’m also mad that UNC (the team I picked to win the NCAA Championship) is out and Kansas advances to the Final Four. Are your brackets messed up like mine? I only have 2 of the 4 teams right; Congratulations to Tiger Woods for winning the PGA Tour yesterday. He got his swag back and I ‘m not mad.  Let’s see if it continues.
